Issue one of XI Quarterly is dedicated to David Wangerin. Born in Chicago and raised in Wisconsin, David passed away in June at the age of 50. He leaves a lasting impact on soccer in North America with his seminal work uncovering the history of the game, most notably with his books “Soccer In A Football World” and “Distant Corners.”
