In classic color printing processes, levels of cyan, magenta, yellow,
and black are used in combination to create all other colors.
While typically the icon will be reproduced in one color, XI’s identity
remains flexible and print-based. Our singular goal is the creation of
a physical product. Using print’s component colors makes this reference
effectively, and each color is slightly offset so that they might visually
combine at a distance. What might appear ‘blurry’ on the computer screen
is, in real life, simply solid blocks of color and sharp lines.
In short, XI says soccer. CMYK says print.
